Looking Upward Print

Portrait of woman looking upward with dramatic colors of reds, blues and yellows in a very emotionally striking pose. In this series of paintings, I’m inspired by Master Artists such as Matisse and Diebenkorn and Abstract Expressionists, such as DeKooning and Mitchell and contemporary “Street Art”. I love to use subjects from an earlier time and place them in contemporary settings. I layer styles to create a camouflage of colors, textures and movement between negative and positive space. My emphasis is on colorful abstraction and texture and its emotional impact on the viewer.
