Lost Time Print

From a hidden location underneath a murky canopy of ancient trees, in a time invented so as to be forgotten, color is born again. Inspired by the historical conspiracy theory of the same name, Phantom Time refers to the concept that 297 years were added to the Gregorian calendar during the middle ages. Automatic Painting Meditation on the possibility that the legitimacy of mankind's calendars are not only suspect, but irrelevant. This layered drip, smear and rolling technique came about through my intention to be less judgmental and more natural and emotive in my work. Imagining the interplay of color and form as accidental invention.
