ABOUT THE ARTWORK
the abstract technique develops over several layers. The diluted liquid cement is dripped on the wooden surface. Above this pouring, cotton or wool threads, metal objects and wax inserts are then placed, These things are used to divide the work in geometric compartments where the color is poured. The separation in compartments allows to control the color making the desired effects and shades. In some cases, the wax technique is also used through crossed brushstrokes of melted wax colored with oil paint pigments. The edges of the works are then burned to refer to the degraded structures, which have an inherent aura of mystery. 127x157x3cm 2022
