ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Magnificent cubism Apollonas Soben «Land of dreams» #00212 What is “salon cubism” and how does it differ from standard cubism About people who did not want to be “like Picasso”, they came up with very interesting things, and inspired Niels Bohr with their “daub”. You have probably heard the expression “salon painting” and you know that this phrase is dismissive, often referring to the vulgar decorative painting of the French 19th century, often with barely covered sweet nymphs. This adjective – “salon”, keep in mind, did not come from the fact that these paintings were intended for richly decorated bourgeois salons-living rooms. And for the reason that these paintings were exhibited in the great and terrible Parisian Salon, the one and only, the very one. The Salon was founded at the end of the 17th century (and continues to this day, although this is no longer important). Most of the painting of the 18th century and almost all of the 19th century existed under the sign of the Salon: at first everyone wanted to get there and receive its awards, then they deliberately began to oppose themselves to it. Getting a medal from the Salon was like… for a musician getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and getting a platinum record. (Then everything changed, of course). Nevertheless, this official academic Salon has nothing to do with our salon cubism, I told you so, for the general development. Just remember that in 1884 the first Salon of Independents was held – this is an amateur exhibition, which brought together all the artists whose paintings, due to courage, did not pass the face control in the academic Salon. All the great French artists, impressionists, post-impressionists who – they, for the most part, exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants.

By the will of fate, many years ago, an artist by education, a creative girl (Ekaterina) met the antisocial element that embarked on the path of correction, leading to God through esotericism and mysticism (Oleg). The result of their meeting was not only the birth of a beautiful baby, but also a number of creative ideas. Catherine’s works always came directly to the customer, and Oleg nurtured the idea and raised the level of mystical knowledge. The general public saw their first joint works not according to plan, the family was on the road by car, from Russia to Italy, where they were going to open an art studio. Of personal belongings there was one suitcase with things for three and a children's suitcase with toys. Already on the borders of Belarus and Ukraine, as well as Romania and Bulgaria, they realized that something terrible was happening in the world, and the trip to Italy could be interrupted, it happened, a state of emergency and quarantine were introduced on the territory of Bulgaria in connection with the epidemic COVID-19, they had to accept the rules of the game, dictated by fate, because it became impossible to leave Bulgaria or enter any other country due to the closure of borders. Thanks to the excellent art online stores in Burgas and Varna, they decided to teach the kid and create paintings without succumbing to hysteria and panic. It was because of the current situation that I had to write acrylic first works. In order to bring the idea of Catherine and Oleg closer, we’ll give you a real life story that characterizes them. About her. Many years ago, Catherine's relatives sold a house in which paintings painted by her at a young age hung on the walls. Catherine remembered the paintings many years later, when her customer asked me to show past works. When asked who bought the house about the opportunity to take the paintings, Catherine was informed that the new owners bought the house only because of the paintings, the real estate itself, as it turned out, was not the goal of investing money, and was not worth the money paid, the goal was to buy the paintings on the walls, as selling clearly did not understand their value. About him. Four times in a row, voluntarily went into a state of clinical death with the goal of deeply knowing the unknown, zeroing energy and changing oneself internally for the better. Each of the works appears after an hour of meditation.
