About The Artwork
5 years ago, when I only renounced journalism and became an artist, I wanted to paint very realistic. That everyone would say "it is alive." I was afraid to leave the line through the brush, to make an extra move. I was afraid of the colors and large formats. It was a pity for me to use materials in vain. And I wanted to prove to everyone that I can paint beautifully. But every year, with each sold picture, I was more and more allowed myself. To be by itself And about a year ago I began to create something different. I moved to a spatula, a paint from a jar, and not from a small tube, on a canvas more than a meter and on a wide swing of hands. And I became more and more aware of what the great Ukrainian artist Anatoly Kryvolap told me when I once tried to ridicule flowers on the canvas, saying that true art is an abstraction. I did not see him as he saw. But looked at it. And then there was a moment when I first picked up and went out of my own contours. When I allowed myself not to wait for the wow effect, when it became all the same how it is "cool". Did the audience's reaction worsen? No. Have sales declined? No. On the contrary, more and more people began to tell me that I began to appear in my own style, some kind of feature. A long way is ahead. I still do not know how to pass through the painting of my deep feelings, I can not tell from the original through the shape and color, and still waiting for pleasure and praise. But I'm going forward. To myself. And it seems a little better to understand the essence of wood and flowers outside the window.

I became an artist 9 years ago, when after a long search for myself and my vocation I realized that I want to paint the most. Then I left journalism, in which I already had 12 years of experience, in particular, as a co-host with Savik Shuster in the social talk show "Adrenaline" on the First National Channel (this is an interesting fact, right? :)) Within a few months, I managed to sell my paintings painted with oil paints for quite high sums, which once again convinced me of the truth - no matter what business you choose, if you do it from the heart, you can achieve anything you want. My first solo exhibition took place in Lviv in the wonderful Madame Palmgren Gallery. Then there were 9 more solo exhibitions, the last - in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Kyiv, and 6 group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. During the time since I have been drawing, I have also managed to try myself as an illustrator - I have an illustrative book by the famous TV presenter Olga Freimut "Etiquette". And I became the author of an art and social project, the performance "Feel the power of the family." It was a good story, when in Lviv and Lutsk my team and I recreated from people the living race of everyone up to 7 generations, and this is for a moment 254 participants! Now I live in Poland, where I work - I paint and sell all over the world. It is already available in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Norway, Austria, New Zealand, Singapore, the USA and Canada. But most often I send paintings to Ukraine, it is in my home country that most of my paintings are stored in private collections. Thank you, dear) Now I am also writing a book about my path and experience in adoption - in addition to two blood sons, we have a daughter of Roma nationality, who was adopted three years ago. I hope that in 2022 the book will be published.
