About The Artwork
Mark making turns personal: the marks my van and I leave behind. Done on a wind swept hillside in subfreezing upstate New York weather. I took my boots off to make more authentic footprints. Being chilled to the bone, I finished the work in the studio. You can see the large brush resting in a boot on my palette to the right along with a quart can of black latex paint. My hot toddy is not visible.
