The Original Painting has sold. 'Marriage of the Lamb' (or) 'Wedding in Heaven'. A painting of Heaven, this painting features Biblical symbolism. The two people getting married are Jesus Christ and his Bride. His Bride is the Church; the Church are Jesus' faithful followers. These followers are also depicted within the Bible as a City called 'Heavenly Jerusalem'. The Bride is standing within the walls of this city. The City has beautiful foundations made of precious stones. Jesus is also represented within the Bible by a lamb, hence the lamb within the painting. The Wedding represents God being united with his people in Heaven. The painting also features Angels and Souls in Heaven. To show that the painting is representing a spiritual dimension, the scene is set within clouds and above the Earth which one can see at the bottom of the painting.
