About The Artwork

The natural beauty of sunlight and marshes, coupled with stone. The bridge against meadowlands and reflected across the water shows how man and nature interact. Stunning realism with a touch of abstract. This work is part of a three year study of the New Jersey Meadowlands, an area just outside of New York City but in stark contrast to urban city scenes. The study focuses on Nature vs. Man, and the proof that nature and land can sometimes hold power of where and when Man can build. Just five miles from Times Square, the Meadowlands exist and have resisted attempts to extend the city footprint out. While not typically thought of as beautiful, this painting shows that certainly beauty can exist in the most unexpected places. The original painting was sold to a private collector. The print includes white space around the live/image area to allow for framing and to allow for proportions and all content of the original painting to remain in tact.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a realist painter with a lean to the abstract, and I try to capture more than the physical structure of a building or landscape. I find the essence of a subject and show beauty in the nuances, often featuring the conflict of Nature versus Man. It began with a fascination for found objects. It's the stuff that floats in on the tide, blows in on the wind or rises up from the soil; random objects, even buildings once centers of industry or tourist destinations, that are turned from useful to useless. I can see the strength and allure in things and in their history, and I try to bring life back in. I want to show both the harsh realities and magnificent beauties in everyday life and our surroundings.
