About The Artwork

I began with 4 ascending diagonal platforms in dark purple, and progressed from there. I hope viewers feel a sense of harmony, vibration, peace, and perhaps a sense of the spiritual. I choose oil as my medium to give space and time to meld and mold the colors.

Abstract painting is a way to find balance and harmony, through color, and composition, and trust. I begin a painting with no idea how it will evolve. I find joy in the simple experience of colors vibrating together, shapes beginning to find harmony with each other, and finally, a sense of the painting beginning to "sing" to me. My hope is that some of you looking will feel a little of this, too.
