About The Artwork

I like to meet my friends downtown for a chat lol. These are my friends these days. I moved about a year ago. (It's 2017 as I write this) When I go for my walk-abouts these days the friends I run into are deer, turkey, chickens, stray cats, wild birds, and too many others to list. (There have been bear sightings though I personally have not seen one as of yet.) I live in a little country town In CT. I always have painted everyday scenes and believe it or not this image is an everyday scene. I was interested in showing man and nature. Man is somewhat overpowering the landscape yet there is still a great deal of the wild. I liked the stop sign almost as if the deer is pleading for people to stop building and let them have their woods. I wish I could write exactly how it feels to be encroaching on nature or explain it's such a complicated issue but I am not a writer. So I painted this. I love seeing the animals that live here I consider them friends. Can people respect nature as a friend or be a part of it instead of trying to be outside it?

Dear collectors, I am just a simple person living a simple life. Having lived in some beautiful places; nature is important to me. I currently resided in small little country home. A love for painting is my one true constant. One of the true joys in my life has been the time spent exploring my little world as an artist. I am almost forty-two now and continue to paint; having practiced for almost thirty years now. I am both self taught and trained as I have a bachelor's degree from a Framingham State College. I have always worked multiple jobs while still somehow creating and selling on almost a daily basis. I am so happy to say that many people all across the United States enjoy my artwork on their walls. For me my paintings are more then a pretty picture. No matter if I am doing a portrait or a landscape there is meaning and feeling behind each one. I explore character and the uniqueness of the subject at hand. I love the outdoors and have a deep respect for the natural world. As my family owns an old farm with woods and many wild animals make their home their.
