The Norse God Odin is often portrayed with two ravens perched on his shoulders. Their names are Hugin (Thought) and Munin (Memory). Every morning they fly away and return to the god at night to inform him of what has happened in the world. This image is also available as an archival (archival inks and paper) digital print.

I paint oils and watercolors in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Northern California. The images in my paintings come from two worlds: Daylight—the life we experience when we are awake, and Nightlight—the lives we live when we are asleep. What I try to paint cannot be seen, so distinguishing between the two worlds is a matter of only minor importance.
