ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I tried to depict four key points we see in the process of describing the heart. This is the fourth and last in the series. This represents the heart itself. It is a beginning and an end. There is no consciousness here, or in some ways, a complete acceptance of everything as it is. Consciousness is a state of here and there. Since at this stage, you only ever perceive emotions and the feelings that spring from the sense organs, there is little to no question or curiosity. There is a complacent silence that comes from deep within.

"Caught in a moment’s notice, you find yourself as you experience it, losing only, to time - I begin with Art because art is where everything always always always begins." With a foundation in architecture, Vishnupriya (Vaishu) embarked on a journey that transcends the boundaries of design and delves deep into the soul of our built spaces, and the relationship they share with our body's architecture. “What makes space?” Is a question she ponders deep all the time. Her preoccupation with space is what pushes her to make art. She sees herself getting closer to experiencing the meaning of the physical world by practicing art. Vaishu also uses art as a medium to engage in a celebratory monologue about her day-to-day design-related activities. She is now an Urban Planner by profession and she lets art describe with creativity, the relationships between different physical and human factors that make up the cities we live in.
