About The Artwork

A monk on the way I met two monks in Bilina. They made their way from the monastery in Pilsen to Dechin. They navigated on the printed map, but somehow they couldn't figure out where they were. I showed them the direction and, of course, we exchanged a few words. It is very unusual to meet a true servant of God today. After some time, this image was created, as a reminder of a monk who lives in the real world and at the same time beyond our comprehension. For painting I use quality canvas in a relative composition of cotton and synthetics. I usually use a three to four layer technique. After full drying, I glue the canvas to hardboard with the help of a special transparent double-sided adhesive foil. As a final point, varnished with protective varnish. Oil painting on canvas glued to hardboard size 34x42 cm. Treated with the final varnish. Not framed, not ready to hang.
