About The Artwork

The title of this artwork is 'Monochrome Flower 1.' It belongs to a collection along with the painting 'Monochrome Flower 2.' Together, they form a cohesive ensemble, yet each can be acquired individually. Those two artworks are created on a canvas on board. and it allows the beautiful texture to be visible, creating an effect reminiscent of vintage photographs. Also i used sandpaper in this artwork to create scratches, enhancing the aging effect. Using my unique artistic technique and employing multiple layers, this painting exudes a sense of realism. My inspiration draws heavily from the style of Japanese classical engravings, which is evident in all of my works. The piece will seamlessly integrate into any interior, striking a balance and creating a focal point. When gazing upon the painting, one experiences the feeling of an antique photograph (cabinet photo), evoking a cozy and warm atmosphere of tradition

I’m Natalie and I’m an interior designer and an artist. I create paintings, which perfectly integrate in the interior, using different instruments and materials. I’m in love with antique aesthetics, and I find a lot of inspiration in it. The main thing in my creative work is less for more: restrained colours, elegant and not overloaded composition that generate sense of lightness and mystical mood. I live in Riga, the capital city of Latvia. I have a bachelor degree in interior design from Baltic Institute.
