About The Artwork
I have always been fascinated by the ultramarine color and especially by the ultramarine monochromes by the french artist Yves Klein. Klein developed a special medium to bind the very small color particles. It's neither an oil paint nor an acrylic. The blend makes it possible for much more color grains to be reflected by the light, i.e. seen by the eye. But do not touch it, that makes the color more dull. In this painting there are different shades of this ultramarine color. It is the same color, the shades are just difference in covering.

Between childhood and my children's childhood I nearly never was creative in this way. But then, when my children began to play with clay and plaster, I returned to the creative arts. First, I worked with and attended classes in clay figure modelling. Then I also worked with more or less abstract sculpture making in paper clay, wood, plaster, resins - and got occupied with mould making in silicones and castings in plaster and resins. Also, a few works of paintings. Born 1951. Living in central Copenhagen, Denmark.
