About The Artwork
The painting depicts a man who enjoys the pleasure of the evening drunk under the shadow of the moon. In fact, the shadow of the moon is its reflection, there can be no shadow as such, but with the drunken mind there is not only a shadow, but the moon itself. The moon has a relative and multiple meanings here, the main of which is loneliness, the regulation of the tide of human thought. Painted with high quality oil paints and tempera, on canvas.
