ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Capturing those wonderful lost spots of British wilderness is a passion of mine. This image captures a moorland view in the Peak District. The layers of textures aim to draw you into the view noticing differing details each time. I layer tissue papers, inks, paints and use a variety of techniques to create a surface that represents the wild scrappy nature of the open countryside. In contrast glints of gold and copper represent the rich colours and vibrant feel of the moors. Hanging hardware is included but left unattached (unless requested) incase you want to frame. Painted directly on to wood this painting could be hung directly on a wall or could be presented inside a box frame.
