About The Artwork
Kailash is a sacred Tibetan mountain shrouded in mystery and legends. I am very interested in ancient history of India and Vedic culture. In Puranas, ancient sacred texts, Kailas was described as an abode of Lord Shiva, where he sat in a state of meditation along with his wife Pārvatī. All these stories and also two major Sanskrit epics - Ramayana and Mahābhārata inspired this work.
