About The Artwork
Painting: Oil on Canvas. I was especially influenced by Richard Diebenkorn and Matthew Wong in this piece. Mt. Tamalpias is a sacred mountain in Northern California that I feel such a strong kinship with. I see it every day, either driving in to my art studio, or riding my bike on a break... I watch the sun set from my Mill Valley studio, going over the edge towards the Pacific Ocean, and I'm left with stars and nature. I wanted to honor this spectacular reality that is my life :)!
