Nadine Hardy immerses us in a semi-abstract world where the essence of femininity is captured in a discreet silhouette, revealing itself to the viewer from behind. This artwork is a whirlwind of delicate forms, a shimmering kaleidoscope. The multiple facets of this composition, composed of golden hues, offer an iridescent glow to those who dare to approach. A symphony of vibrant and elegant colors intertwines harmoniously, creating a visual harmony that enchants the senses. The viewer's gaze is initially captivated by the pixelated effect that runs throughout the artwork, giving life to a complex and captivating structure. A subtle play between shades of gold and white unfolds, illuminating every corner of this masterful creation. The sharp contours of multiple forms, like small golden cells, capture the ambient light and reflect it with indescribable grace. Three black shapes, precisely arranged, traverse the edges of the painting, breaking the monotony of the omnipresent gold. Like deliberate boundaries, they structure the entire artwork, reminding us of the importance of balance and composition. In this ocean of gilding, they provide a necessary rupture, a striking contrast that enriches the visual palette of this unique piece. It is within this delicate representation that femininity itself resides, discreet yet palpably present. The enchanting silhouette of a woman seen from behind, lightly sketched, exudes timeless grace. The suggestive curves, highlighting slightly prominent buttocks, harmoniously integrate into the mosaic of small gold and white squares that surround them. The fusion of femininity and abstraction takes place here, where the feminine figure blends into the overall composition, offering a vision that is both enigmatic and captivating. This artwork conveys a sense of mystery and elegance that transports the viewer to a universe where beauty is revealed in every detail.

Nadine Hardy likes to draw a parallel between her life, which can be summarized as a brief transition, and the production of her successive artworks. She aims to strike and move her audience whilst creating beauty. This compulsive, obsessive and repetitive search ends in a conversation in the present moment that is destined to disappear. The expression in her paintings then appears autonomously. Pictorial abstraction and a quest for aesthetics With a master’s degree in history, and experience in both art and art history, Nadine Hardy is now a full-time painter. Every experience adds a new dimension to her paintings which contain an echo of her exposure to art. One common characteristic is linearity. Without pigeonholing herself, Nadine Hardy has turned to abstract art as a means of expression. Inspired by the world around her, the painter’s artistic approach can be summed up in the explanation that “the artist paints and the observer creates.” Examining our emotions: Nadine Hardy’s desire Hardy works with acrylic on wood using a plastic card or brush. The bright, powerful colour makes her work easier to understand, read, translate and unpack. It stands as a link and point of reference between what is seen and what is felt through her personal experience, cultural roots and environment. The aim is neither to guide emotions nor to suggest but instead to explore the feelings that drive her and lead to creation. For this reason, she is greatly inspired by abstract painting and the use of acrylic paint, which help provide a language for the creative process. This language is visual, represented by shapes, colours and lines. It is a never-ending transition between technique and the unsaid. A contraction of reality or an intellectual and artistic connection.
