About The Artwork

Traveling through 16 states with my partner, we passed this Shangrila along the way in a midwestern town in the US.. The beauty of towns and lakes we passed in Montana and Colorado touched my soul because of the vivid colors that filled my vision. The yellows and oranges mixed the blues of this magical place resonated with my soul. Feeling enlightened because "God is Nature," not only did I took a picture of this magical town right out of a fairytale book but I decided to paint it as well.. With oil paint painting the cool colors from afar and the warm colors closer to the viewer's eyes, I had to stop painting because I found that the complementary color I intended to use as based for the realistic colors of the painting was in itself captured the mystical setting of this landscape painting. To me this work of art became surrealistic because of the colors
