About The Artwork
I made this painting based on a picture I took with a friend to express the lack of freedom that most of the women face every day at the neighbourhood. They use a burka or a nikab all the time, even when they are alone at the terraces hanging the clothes for their families. In a city with such a cultural diversity and open mind style like Barcelona, it is painful to know that we are not all free to enjoy our life and our nature without feeling guilty or judged.
