About The Artwork
My inspiration is taken from James Whistler, he walked these same banks to paint London's ever-changing lights, documenting them in his many nocturnes. I hope to continue his work and inspire others to do so. Chelsea Bridge is situated on the edge of Battersea Park and constructed in 1937, the original bridge was constructed to join the newly created Battersea Park with the rest of London. Its a bridge often overlooked by its more famous neighbour Albert Bridge but I feel stands on its own as an unknown London​ gem.
