ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The ocean has always fascinated me from the mere size of it down to the tiniest creatures living below it's massive surface. It provides peace and relation to all who are in it's presence, but keep in mind that it can and will bring turmoil, death and destruction for anyone or anything that gets in its way. I love painting with acrylics. They are so forgiving and mistakes can easily be corrected. I love to paint with Rich, vibrant colors to reflect my own personality. I'm hoping that as you view this piece you will have an overall feeling of relaxation and peace, and for a few moments the stress and chaos of this life will vanish.

Hello, I am Gregory Wilemon, born June 15, 1965 in Memphis, Tn. and now reside in Booneville Ms just north of Tupelo, Ms the birthplace of Elvis Presley. I taught myself piano at the age of 5 and practiced at least 1 hour daily from then on. I have resided in Nashville, New Orleans, Houston, Texas and have met many colorful people in each of these cities, always being drawn to and befriending the homeless and less fortunate. I havent studied art in an academic sense. No formal training whatsoever. Just like piano. I just picked up a pencil started drawing and then I wanted to try the brush and acrylics. My sincere wish is this...when you view my paintings you will see art through the eyes of the Virgin artist and you will feel even a greater sense of appreciation for art and for all the artist worldwide who create these beautiful pieces.
