About The Artwork

- Signed and titled on verso (back). - Ready to hang (Hanging wire on the back) - Includes the Certificate of Authenticity. Medium: Encaustic mixed media on cradled wood panel (encaustic, watercolors, oil, archival pigment ink transfer, collage with ancient book the Bible and a vintage book from 1907) Dimensions : 10 in x 10 in x 7/8 inch ********* ********** ******** This is a new work from my latest 'How Can You Show Love…?'(Climate Change) Series. The series is my response to the Climate Change/Global warming in an abstract manner and encourage people to think about what they can do personally about it, to show love to people and to the earth, in order not to lose your loved ones or even our planet due to the increasing disasters and heat, which I have been literally experiencing recent years. The work includes factual data published by IPCC or NASA in an abstract manner. It is a visual statement with a conceptual and philosophical approach using a temperature-sensitive material encaustic. Four sides of cradled wood panels in this series are treated with Shou-Sugi-ban technique with fire, which creates natural beauty of the brown color without paints and has good conservation purpose for the wood/art. I also imply wildfires due to climate change as conceptual art.

Light/hope in the darkness, using a personal yet universal experience beyond time and space. Her mixed-media painting often incorporates text in compositions relevant to each series’ concept. She layers and integrates timeless ancient messages/materials AND contemporary material from our time such as computer languages (codes) in an abstract manner. There are mainly two types of mixed media that she is working on; (1) Encaustic, watercolor, oil, other materials, and collage. (2) Acrylic-color-based mixed media. She often uses her own hand-dyed Japanese paper in both work. She lived/worked in New York and other cities in the United States and spent some time in Europe.
