About The Artwork
I live close to the ocean and observe its character every day. Ocean water changes color depending on the time of day and weather. the ocean can be calm, but after some time everything can change, the waves appear bigger and bigger, stronger and crash against the rocks with a roar. Painting was painted at plein air and finished in studio. I was inspired by famous Russian artist Ivan Aivazovcky.

I'm a Fremantle (Western Australia) based professional artist who was born in South of Russia, graduated of Moscow Industrial Art University where I studied over 5 years. I moved to Australia in 2004 and exploring my beautiful new surrounding and discovering a thriving artistic community has allowed me to reconnect with nature and focus my attention on producing artworks which have a harmonious beauty and simplicity at the same time. My favorite artist who inspires me: Monet, Van Gogh, Degas, Ilya Repin, Valentine Serov, Vrubel, Zorn, Aivazovsky, Sishkin, Isaac Levitan and more other beautiful painters of 19,20 century. I'm currently exploring the human form and the natural environment and producing some exceptional work. I paint in oil and my favorite theme is portrait, figures, landscapes and Seascapes. Every year I participate in Annual Art Awards Exhibitions of my region where I have been chosen for winning prize for few times. Also I organize my solo exhibitions from time to time.
