About The Artwork
It is an oil painting in the style of naive expressionism. I wanted to show the distant past, when there were no street lamps or telephones. A European village and two teenagers watching a magical starfall on Christmas night. The space around them comes alive with dancing candles moving, pointing and lighting the way. On the threshold of adulthood, a Christmas gift from an angel who whispers softly: "always remember the miracles". This painting will perfectly decorate a child's room or living room. It looks great by the fireplace and despite its rather dark tones, it creates an atmosphere of warmth and cosiness. Painted for an exhibition in Budapest, Hungary.
