About The Artwork

On the beach at Oostend, Belgium on 31 January 2021, Netherlands national champion Mathieu van der Poel leads Belgium champion Wout Van Aert at the men's elite race of the World Cyclocross Championship. Van der Poel won the race. Both riders would go on to dominate professional road cycle racing in spring 2021. This is part 1 of a 3 part series featuring van der Poel. Watercolour and pencils on The Langton archival paper. Signed and dated with the artist's monogram and signature in the lower left. The artwork is approximately 38 x 26 cm. It's been trimmed because it was stretched, as is customary for light watercolour paper. Available for sale unmounted. A passe-partout is recommended for framing.
