ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Graef was commissioned by one of her collectors to paint her beloved cat named Opal. It was a complete joy to see the love between the cat and the cat's human. Sue captured this feeling in the painting with the sweet expression in Opal's eyes and the tilt of her head. In keeping with the cat's coloring, the artist used colors like tan, gray and brown with a touch of orange for the cat's body. Then she added her own flavor and style with the bold red flower pot and brilliant greens for the leaves. The painting is on it's way to it's new home with all hardware attached and ready to hang on the wall.
