"PATTERNS ADMIDST CHAOS II", a dramatic and bold painting. A beautiful sunset with an approaching storm. Tumultous waves. Participating in one of natures events provokes many emotions and realizations. Pondering the chaos in MY life. Pondering the chaos of LIFE. Yet, there is always patterns amongst the constant chaos of this world. Sometimes we just don't see them. The 2nd in a series of 4 all from the same experience and the view of the Gulf of Mexico. Together they make a powerful statement. Quite Majestic. They may be bought as a single painting or as a series of 4 in a quadriptych. Which is magnificent. If interested in the complete series, please contact me to receive a discount. The frame is not included. You are buying an original handmade painting. 24" x 24" x 1" On a 1.5" Gallery Wrapped Canvas Note from the Artist- The original art of this world does not belong to us, but, I feel as humans we can tap a trickle of the vast creativity in the Universe. The Gulf of Mexico is a powerful inspiration. Experiencing a violent storm is exceptionally so. Beautiful and exhilarating. I try to find some patterns and beauty in all life's CHAOS and in the beauty of both Nature and Humanity. Melissa Libutti – Artist

Beginning as a makeup artist, I soon began to paint canvases. Africa and her indigenous people, the music, dance and art inspired my work throughout the years which gives my art a grounding element, touching humanity. Large sculptured masks on canvas emerged which later evolved into my bold series, RISE. Today I create multi layered canvases with tiers and wire constructs adding more layers and blends of paint combined with matte, lumenescence and resin. Obscure faces, figures and scenes reminicent of ancient times that morph and alter with lighting and shifts of ones gaze appear. Ontological inqueries of existence inspire my work, with a passion for the study of space time and the possibilitiy of the existence of other dimensions and cosmic time travel. Questions of life and death linger. Research and education into the latest scientific theories by physicists, scientists and astronomers plus discoveries by the Hadron Collider and The James Webb Telescope combined with my own insights, has prompted an urgent desire to translate these abstract concepts into visual narratives. I implore the viewer to contemplate and spark their curiousity while I provide a visual pathway to the worlds of the intricate unknown using interference, textures, plexiglass, wire and mirror to give sustenance and form to these abstruse theories that merge science, philosophy and art. “SHRED the BOX” - Melissa Libutti
