About The Artwork

The calligraphy of this artwork expresses the word Peace, or “Heiwa”, in Japanese. In this original piece, the deep and cool-toned shades of espresso are blended in an earthy clay, a smoky white, and a tint of gold, giving it an incredible warmth and shine that never looks flat. It is my wish that the calligraphy can speak out and project real meaning from the concept.

Haruko is the artist, writer, and founder of Lovetheway, a creator of motivational and inspirational video content and a gorgeous abstract art collection that beautifully harmonizes the traditional practice of Japanese calligraphy with contemporary abstract art sensibility. Her creativity and enthusiasm draws from a profoundly deep appreciation of her own life journey, words of wisdom that transcend time and space, the beautiful and inexplicable connection between the universe, nature, and humans. Originally from Japan, the diversity of her experience includes nonprofit humanitarian aid work, political journalism, and corporate management. Over the years, she explored her professional, personal, and spiritual life in the juncture of Eastern and Western culture that allowed her to absorb common human experiences and teachings, all leading to the birth of a blooming art studio, bringing to life the concepts that served as her inspirations. Each art piece is designed to be a powerful expression of values, wisdom, or personal beliefs and is created to inspire the audience to embrace their unique life journey and encourage their personal growth.
