Huixuan Zhao was born in Beijing China. She began studying Art and Visual Art in 1995 to gain a greater appreciation of works of art. It was a wise choice for her career. Her studies enabled her to develop her creativity in the composition of a painting as well as the use of colour. In 2002 she traveled around west and south of China. She found Chinese traditional art attractive because of its mystery and charm. From that time, she began to study Chinese painting and mixed Chinese traditional style with modern composition. Huixuan Zhao is an artist who likes to paint what is real, beautiful and peaceful. What she aims to do is to make the traditional Chinese painting more real and lifelike as well as inherit the tradition and the soul of Chinese painting. Huixuan Zhao's works predominantly with mineral colour on silk which are the most traditional Chinese art material.
