Inspired by the colours and textural elements of the flowers in my garden, I've used oil paint to capture the beauty, scent and sunset colours of the Prinses Irene Tulip. The knife painted, textural background, with hints of fluorescent green, enhance the single flower head, whilst capturing the essence and beauty of the simple things close by.
