'Provence Lavender' Oil on canvas, 40x60 cm ‘Provence. Lavender’ is the original artwork made on canvas in an oil painting technique. It depicts lavender plants blossoming in a deep cobalt blue ceramic pot – the traditional Provencal outdoor vase. Blue, purple, lilac, violet, green and grey colors play in matte and shiny textures. This artwork is from my Provence series. A sunny summer day, warm light embraces even the shadows. Green lawns and shiny glaze of the outdoor ceramic pots of the south of France, the scent of herbs and wild flowers is in the air…
