Psyche # 4 abstracts nuances obscured by the figuration in narrative painting. It refers obliquely to Psyche Served by Invisible Spirits by Luca Giordano and the practice of visualizing the invisible which painting reveals. In turn that work refers to Apuleius’s story of Cupid and Psyche. This painting attempts an allusion to the amber vessels that feature in the story.

Some Solo shows have been titled as “Divertimenta” and “Elusion and Revision”. Most recent solo show was entitled False Doors and Timeless Thresholds. I reach wider viewers through the Axis website and online exhibitions. I live near Louth in Lincolnshire.
