About The Artwork
In this painting, the watercolor is diluted and applied by pouring onto the paper surface in different layers (rather than using a brush) to achieve the color mixing and edge effects. Simple architectural shapes are very appealing to me and this, coupled with the light and shadow in this subject, made me want to paint this scene.
