About The Artwork

Video Process: Here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/R4Zq6PHSEsA The Punk Baroque series is inspired by the old and new masters of painting and Audiophile life. I was raised in a religious tradition, then a fascination for the ancient religious iconography was so obvious. Far from being interested in the Sunday liturgy mass, my gaze was focused on those painful madonnas but also the rituals and the ceremonial ruins from the indigenous traditions. Later I lived and studied in central Europe for 5 years. I was so obsessed with the Medieval cathedrals, the art of "Fin de siècle" , the icons and the ancient jewelry but also the popular culture, the mix from the different cultures, races and different music styles in those cosmopolitan cities. The “first layer”, mainly made of graphite, is the “surface” of the canvas to add the grooves of vinyl records and my Glossolalia calligraphy work.
At first glance it may seem opposite, maybe we can find a kind of a synthesis in between, like a mix between Pink Floyd and J. S. Bach with Cumbias.

Psychographic artist with Hypergraphia My research is about a passage of time in a person’s life that is often shaped by challenges, interactions and encounters. I explore the relationship between graffiti roots and fine art academy to represent the music as a measure of time. The incorporation of my psychographic calligraphy describes secret poems in every canvas.
