About The Artwork

Radha Madhav is an acrylic painting inspired by a 5000 years old folk art style from Madhuban regions of India, known as the Madhubani Art. I love to amalgamate this art form with the current contemporary art, in an attempt to explore the flexibilites and beauty of this art form. Being born in the birthplace of Madhubani Arts, I have a strong affinity towards this art style. Radha Krishna are the most loved and celebrated Divine couples in India. In this painting Radha Madhav(Krishna) are lost in the melodies of the flute played by Krishna. Radha's love for music and Krishna is impeccable, and in this painting I have tried to capture this feeling. This painting attempts to share and spread the calmness, tranquility and the love.
