About The Artwork
The inspiration for this piece was me feeling like people kept laying my tracks for me and telling me what was best for me. I want the viewer to find a sense of comfort in being of the beaten path. I chose the burlap or better yet the burlap chose me because I came into possession throught chance. This evolved and began a relationship, spend time with it and gauging till eventually I felt as thought the burlap wanted to be fluid flowing and wrinkling in its own skin, which is kinda how I felt at that time. So began upon the process of acting before thinking and coming back to reality after we where done and the subject matter, mediums the style all where fuel that built up in me and was fermenting. After some time of being convinced that they knew what was best for me I had generated enough pressure and was able to pop the lid at right place, the right time and this is the beach after the storm.

To maintain harmony, I must periodically retreat from painting all together and constantly re-discover my painting in the name of balance. In finding balance, I try to seek joy and beauty.
