About The Artwork
I visited this group of beautiful monuments carved out of boulders more than three decades ago, which is famous for the architectural style of the Pallava dynasty, which ruled this part of India since the 6th century AD. There are six such monuments called Pandava Rathas each representing the Pandava brothers and their common wife Draupadi. I had a desire to paint this beautiful view for a very long time. Viewers of this painting experience the beauty of this heritage architectural masterpiece visually, as well as aesthetically due to its lighting angle resulting in pleasing contrast, composition, and color. This is a watercolor artwork using world-class materials, such as, Baohong brand rough 300 gsm/140 lb paper and painted using Camel brand paints.
