Higanbana inspired me.In Japanese culture, this is a new symbol of connection with the twilight world. Until the 20th century, flowers did not appear in art, as the Japanese associated them with filth and disharmony. It blooms at the time of the Autumn Equinox, when one of the Buddhist holidays is celebrated, during which it is customary to visit graves. Also disgust for this plant because it has an unpleasant smell and is poisonous. Therefore, there are many superstitions where the flower is called the devil, the flower of churchyards. His fatal beauty was associated with the beauty of werefoxes, courtesans, evil women. In the picture, the cat's tail with this flower is the past, which is disturbing, but which cannot be cut off, since it is part of the body. The cat does not look forward, into the future, but at its tail, fascinated and disturbed by a strange phenomenon, although there are a lot of different colors around it, upstairs and in front. The picture is symbolically divided into three parts, from left to right. Past,Present,Future. In the past, at the top left - magnolia flowers - a symbol of past love, and all the same infernal lilies, a cat comes out of their thickets along daisies - symbols of purity and innocence. Stepping on them - does he defile innocence or is he cleansed? The cat is unusual and is called a cat conditionally. A black umbrella balances on his shoulder, on which the same spider lilies are indistinctly read. Their image on accessories (umbrellas) and clothes means "I remember you." This is loyalty, often already unnecessary, but worn like a knight's banner, with honor. Under one paw of a cat - a dead mouse, means that the cat, despite his grief, continues to live and do business, showing his innate dexterity and vitality. Ahead of the cat, irises are read - symbols of courage and perseverance, as well as unusual flowers - explosions - these are symbols of countless fragrant surprises that God has prepared for him.
