About The Artwork

Red Eye was the first piece that I used free-flowing paint. By rotating the canvas, I was able to create dripping effects that both went up and down. The "red eye" became a focal point and it connected with me on a different level-as a frequent flyer who often took overnight, or red eye flights. The somewhat erratic brush strokes seemed to tie to the crazy dreams and feelings when crossing time zones on a long haul flight...not knowing where you are, or what time it is or even the date. Red Eye is framed in a matte aluminum metal frame that is 0.5" wide and 1.5" deep, ready to hang and protected with varnish.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am originally from the Chicago area, but currently reside in the Santa Marianita area near Manta, Ecuador. I have been involved in both art and photography since high school and my style has evolved to become more and more of the abstract expressionist type over time. I paint with acrylics and my pieces often contain multiple layers of paint, textures along with transparency to create depth. Most recently, some of the colors in my work have been influenced by living at the beach with blues, aquas and golden hues. Living in Ecuador also allows me the time to continue to create new work and explore new ideas.
