ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting suggests a face behind a glass, blurred by fog. I wanted to create a painting in which the subject emerges subtlety from the background, and the form has to be mainly imagined by the viewer, except in the main focus, in this case, the lips. It is part of a series of paintings on which I intended to deal with desire and eroticism but not in an obvious or explicit way, I consciously tried to make my paintings ambiguous. In order to achieve this feeling of subtlety, I used several layers of semi-transparent thinned oil painting, letting it flow over most the surface of the painting. This painting is ready to hang. It does not need frame.
