Resurge Print

"Resurge" brings together works from the surrealist theme addressing human contradictions between history and the very existence of being. It also serves as an invitation to personal and collective reflection, exhorting the rescue of values and traditions that from architecture make a reflex of our society. In the paintings it can be appreciated different items such as boats, symbols of travel and changes made by mankind which also personify the pursuit of personal dreams and aspirations. They represent the passage of time in each person´s life carrying on with all fantasies, achievements and mistakes of men. Another highlight is ruined cities, icons of human creation, which have been abandoned at the time; a time that refuses to die before a contemporary society fraught with conflicts and needs. The human figure, mainly women, watching us quietly and motionlessly also take part in each work. Their presence symbolizes the synthesis of creation in our lives and calls us with a glance, to reflect on our lives. In short, "Resurge" is my personal reflection of the city where I live and develop my work, Havana. The sample is, without doubt, a tool to communicate my emotions, fantasies, aspirations and experiences pretending that every viewer rediscover their lost dreams in my works.
