My name is Mike Johnson and I am a collector of original artwork created by Ingmara Zalite in Latvia. Selected pieces are available from my gallery. Ms Zalite's was born: 31 January 1955, Riga Latvia, in the EU. The following is a summary of her style in her own words: I always paint with inspiration, energy and with great emotional strength. In my paintings the viewer sees a wide range of rich color, emotional balance and a feeling of dreams coming to life. In my work, I showcase my special ability to portray action in the human and animal characters that I create. My work is colorful, using a broad range of colors and themes. I also demonstrate a wide range of styles and capabilities to display real life scenes and situations with an uplifting feeling of enjoyment by the viewer. I am committed to traditional old technologies, I use the best oil paints, materials, and work mostly on pure linen flax textile; which is prepared for painting, using traditional hundred year old techniques helping to preserve my paintings for the long term. I normally paint outside, in my garden or at the seaside. I am very much in touch and in tune with nature and enjoy listening to the sounds of nature, rain and the sea while I work. I let my paintings dry naturally. I believe I am a wonderful example of an traditional Western European artist.
