I painted this from the river near my house. These trees in early autumn gave the scene a very classic atmosphere, reminiscent of Corot, Constable and the landscape painters from whom I get my inspiration. It is painted on hand gessoed cotton Arches paper. It will look very nice mounted and framed in an antique gold or silver frame.
