Rossinante, Don Quixote's horse, from Miguel de Cervantes' famous book, is here in the spotlight. He must be burdened with a heart of his master's stories, too. Even he is tired of so many defeats. This picture is a reflection on this. We might think that Don Quixote and his horse were one and the same person. Two parts of the same whole: one decides - Don Quixote, the other carries him everywhere. And he expects so many efforts to achieve satisfaction. It doesn't happen. The horse is desolate. It's burdened with this conclusion. This is a reflection on the disappointment that sometimes our profound self has with its actions, the decisions taken. And the idea that he is not one with them. The self is not one with its unrest. And he can always stand off from them and gain a serene wisdom, acquired from these long experiences. Which is not him. The history of the two characters is therefore the projection of our personal stories. This is why the figures are not individualized. In this way, the viewer can construct them mentally according to their own representations. Their own histories and understanding.

I am an artist who deals with the theme of emotions in achromatic or monochrome images, in styles such as abstract expressionism, Impressionism, realism, minimalism and others. The human figure, realistic or transformed, the objects of nature or those invented, all have symbolic value for these states. The lack of color requires a radical asceticism, an austere simplicity in an exuberant sensory world. A reduction in noise, waste of color and easy anecdotes, which invite to meditation and re-examination of the world around us. The sublimation of subtones and valuing insignificant details and undesirable objects, but which are linked to the forgotten essential, all creates a world upside down, that questions. Pointing to values such as compassion and empathy which pay attention to the misery of the world, its sadness, its loneliness, the dumbing of the voice, the lack of freedom and so on.
