Runway Melody’ (Oil on canvas)- This painting potrays the scene of rain drops dripping down the window of a plane and the panoramic view of world outside through the glass. This artwork is a blend of different emotions. The gloomy skies are deep but the wet greens in the distance exhibits tranquility. Also the beginning of a journey is a sign of ‘hope’ and the pitter patter sound of rain on the window can soothe the soul. Rainy flights aren’t the best but reaching the destination at the end of the day can make us forget about the hardships of the journey and to me it is super comforting to think about our life in the same way. I am Aqdus, I was born in Pakistan and raised in Bahrain. Art was introduced to me by my mom. I was a 4 year old kid, when my mom bought me a water color palette for the first time. I did not know how it worked. I watched her as she turned a white paper into strokes of different colors. Ever since then, I have been spellbound by the magic of painting. Over the years, I have explored my favorite mediums to work with, which are Oils and Acrylics. My artworks include landscapes, cityscapes, rainworks, still life and nature works. I have received great appreciation on my work from my family, friends and now from a little art community that I have on Instagram. I'm a self-taught artist as I have never attended any art school.
