View In My Room
A friend of mine owns a body tanning spa in Beverly Hills. He invited me to the spot since he was about to embark on a major renovation project. He also needed some artistic advice to improve its appearance. He showed me around and the most striking area he took me to was where the private sauna was located. His wife was involved in a steaming session with her trainer so the issue of intrusion did not arise at that moment. The same lady also wanted me to view the spa area for a possible mural painting which I executed weeks later. This beautiful lassie seemed to be totally ecstatically immersed in the relaxing physical process. Her head was lifted up and backwards a little bit. The brown hair smoothly slid behind her back. Another lady friend of hers was also having fun with the steam. The red spotlight consumed her body tone. Soft music almost silently played. I had never been in such an effeminately exclusive environment before. I truly appreciated this eye elevating invitation. I loved the overly red tonal values which dominated this small ruminative enclave. Two spotlight broke down the monotonous hues with reflections of yellows thereby adding elements of economic oranges in the structure. There was a small mirror in the background with a white ornate frame. While I was standing admiring this spectacle a young secretary walked in the room to deliver some document to to her boss. I was struck by the beautiful reflection of her gorgeous looks exploding out of the same mirror across. I did not comment. I was there for a professional reasons. However, I promised myself that this whole scenario would in no way escape my definitive creative deportment. Since photographic memory is part of my artistic propensity, I was able to portray this subject matter with faithful exactitude as far my wits end could allow. I sprang into a journey of ethereal feminine body celebration, embedded in intricate sensual tonal values. The numerous upward brush strokes accentuate the warm steam which was emanating from some hidden source. The bodies in this work are canvassed by smooth curves and short straight lines reflective of the human stresses these women possibly underwent on a daily basis. My point here is, these females were there to shred off all that social baggage. That negativity was trounced in a transcendental procurement, as seen in their closed eyes. I painted parts of the trainer's body in blue and light pink tones due to the fact that the spotlights above were beaming on him in that order. The outfit on the central central figure's curvaceous body was sensually exaggerated by my artistic intuition so as to bring out that aura of a sexy woman exhibiting her beguiling self consciousness. I equally wanted to state on their behalf that, all they were engaged in at that juncture was to try to physically keep their beautiful bodies in shape in order to keep their men focusing on them daily. A deterrent to unwarranted female competition. I will never know to which degree these women were successful in their endeavors. I just hope that the viewers will look at my piece pleasurably and in a prism of artistic appreciation outside my social commentary.
