About The Artwork
Image taken from a photo in a magazine ad because the Asian-ness caught my attention. I thought it could be made into a painting with stylization so it could communicate on different levels. The color and lines in the hair are suggestive of how hair flows. The very graphic quality is contrasted by the treatment of other areas such as the hand. Painting with acrylic results in sharper edges and lends itself the look I am after.
